It seems as if my good buddy Mikey is getting back into shooting photos.  Here are two photos he shot recently...

Photo Memory

This is a photo from the Summer of 2010, I think.  In order from left to right you see Bryar, Colby, Connor, Tucker, and Julian.  These were the days.

Weekend Inside...

This weekend was supposed to be full of filming for RATTLED LOOSE, but on Thursday it snowed, thus making the streets to wet to skate.  So, I geared up and went on over to SJJ on friday night to film a well needed Phresh Phridays, and then on Saturday I showed up again to film with a few other homies.  So, enjoy the two edits below...

For the Love

I was sitting at my computer as usual today watching some skate stuff, catching up on this weeks media, and all of a sudden I got to thinking.  Why do I keep skateboarding?  I just thought of how much it has harmed me, caused me pain, gotten me in trouble with cops and so on.  I know most people would label me as a filmer, but being a skateboarder comes first.  Why do I love it so much though?  I figured it out.  What I love so much is not doing some rail trick, or jumping down some gap.  What I love is that freedom you feel when you are pushing down the street, weaving through traffic, touching cars, hopping up curbs, doing "survival ollies", and just going as fast as you possibly can.  I know that if you see me skating in Kali or anywhere else, you most likely won't see me stressing over a trick.  You'll see swerving down main street or 1st avenue, just being a nuisance.  I know  that people who don't skate don't get it, and it's sad to say that even many skaters in this area don't understand the fun of just cruising.  However, I am okay with that.  I noticed that as I got older, I started to enjoy the basic side of skateboarding.  It just feels so pure.  So, skateboarding shouldn't be all about filming, or photos, and definitely not contests.  It should be about the fun, the freedom, and the ability to do exactly as you please without the worry of what others may think of you.  I love filming, watching gnarly skate videos, and trying tricks down some gap with my friends, but nothing will ever beat the feeling of going fast.

Goodnight, sweet prince

So, you may be wondering why we had to ditch the name Phantasmagoria.  Well, long story short, we don't own the rights to the name, and I guess someone just had to target us teenage kids as criminals for "stealing intellectual property."  Quite stupid if you ask me.  However, this could be a new, fresher, and better beginning for us.  We still have the same crew, same city, and same great attitude.  So, just keep in touch with us to know what's the haps for the GLG and the homies who are stacking clips for Rattled Loose.

Exploded Ankle

Vincent sprained his ankle last week.  Okay, a sprain can't be that bad, right?  WRONG!  He has to do physical therapy and wear a brace for one to two months.  That's a bummer because all the snow is gone, but he can't come skating!  Anyways, just hope that it heals quicker than expected.  So today, instead of stacking clips, we just cruised around, went to lunch, and did ignorant hoodrat things.
